On April 1st, Chungju Mayor Gil-Hyeong Cho visited YG-1 Chungju Plant with the aim of boosting communication between businesses and the city to foster a shared growth. A group of 10 people toured three buildings of the plant as well as a distribution center to encourage employees. The Mayor emphasized that, “based on its excellent workforce, technology, quality and innovative mind, I hope YG-1 will grow into a world leader in the cutting tool industry,” paying great attention to YG-1’s technology, size, potential and vision of the future. 

The city has been running an “Active Business Friendly Program”since last December and is the only institution that is holding a “Business Day” event to support businesses in the Chungcheongbukdo region. 

In the presence of the Mayor, Geun-Byeung Yuk, a plant worker and Executive Director Ki-Jeong Jeong received respectively the Best Employee Prize and the Appreciation Plaque.
